On March 16, Henan Provincial Development and Reform Commission and Henan Postal Administration announced that Zhengzhou has been approved by the state to build an important international mail hub port in China.

What positive influence will the construction of international mail hub port bring to henan logistics and express industry?

First, international mail is not quite the same as normal market-oriented commercial parcels. After the approval, Zhengzhou will become China's fourth major international mail hub port, following Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

Relying on zhengzhou's advantage as a hub port, cross-border e-commerce in Henan has developed rapidly in recent years, driving the globalization of consumption.

According to Xinzheng Comprehensive Insurance Zone, the cross-border e-commerce business of the Airport Experimental Zone has doubled for five consecutive years since its operation in 2015. In 2021, the business volume will reach 130 million orders with a value of 14.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 28%. In particular, the bonded import business will break through 80 million orders with a value of 12.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 29% and 35% respectively. The business volume accounts for more than 80% of zhengzhou cross-border e-commerce comprehensive test area.

According to the Master Plan of Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport (2021 version), the airport terminal is planned to handle 771,000 aircraft takeoffs and landings, 100 million passengers and 5 million tons of cargo in 2035, with a land area of about 53.3 square kilometers.

There are five parallel runways in the airfield, and a central terminal area is planned between the south and north runways, forming three terminals and satellite halls. Plan the comprehensive transportation center of Terminal 3, and plan special lines for air-rail freight combined transportation. In the end, the layout of "54321" will be formed, that is, "five runways, four terminals, three freight areas, two transportation centers and one big hub".
